Continuation of Cooperation within TrafficQuest

Rijkswaterstaat, TNO and Delft University of Technology are preparing to sign a new cooperation agreement, which specifies that TrafficQuest will continue to bundle, develop and disseminate knowledge in the area of traffic management and traffic information in the coming three years. TrafficQuest was launched in 2009 as an initiative of Rijkswaterstaat and TNO.

Contributions of TrafficQuest

The latest volume of NM magazine discusses a number of topics in which TrafficQuest was involved. The article “Keep your lane has no added value in the Netherlands” refers to research carried out by TrafficQuest in 2011. Also, the article about the evaluation of variable speed limits on the ring road of Antwerp includes a contribution from TrafficQuest about the effects of Automatic Incident Detection in the Netherlands. Last but not least, 3 pages were dedicated to the topic of data fusion. Two of the authors are members of the TrafficQuest team. The knowledge available in TrafficQuest is thus put to good use!
